For the very first time, the
Academy presents an open event to promote fine chocolate
and the Academy’s goals and of course to taste some
great chocolate. The Academy has been working away for
several years to establish an organisation that can
represent UK chocolate professionals and fight for
recognition of the best in chocolate.
Now in this first of a series of events, the Academy
invites potential members and friends to join us for an
evening at The Arts Club. This is a great opportunity to
meet the existing members, network with fellow enthusiasts
and professionals and find out what the Academy is all
about.Our featured speaker will be Chantal Coady, currently
celebrating 25 years of Rococo.
Chantal is renowned for her detective-like
‘nose’ and will be taking us through a tutored
tasting of some of her favourite chocolate, as well us
giving us an insight into how Rococo came in to being and
how the business has grown and remained so successful over
the years.The other chocolatier members of the Academy -
William Curley, Bill McCarrick and Paul Young - will also
be presenting their products for you to try, or you can
sample a range of bean to bar chocolate at the
Seventypercent.com table. There will be plenty of
opportunityafter Chantal’s talk to mingle and chat
with Academy members.
