Chantal Coady has been obsessed with chocolate since early childhood. This passion led to her pioneering the first of the “new wave” chocolate shops in 1983, when scarcely out of Art School. Really this was a ruse to ensure a life time supply of the best chocolate available – the ultimate security blanket…

These days Chantal spends her time between the shops and the chocolate factory in South London, as well as visiting Grenada on a regular basis to work with the Grenada Chocolate Company & the ongoing cocoa regeneration project on the island.

Chantal is married to James Booth and their children are Fergus (b.1997) and Millie (b.1999) and they live in Vauxhall with their chocolate Burmese pussy cat Sootchi.
